Hey everybody, Ryan here at Etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out the line of B&W underbed turnover ball gooseneck trailer hitch covers. So, these B&W trailer hitches, as many of you know, are really nice. And if it we're me, I'd like to keep it that way. And one little extra step you can take is just to try to help keep the weather off of it, you know And you can achieve that by just using one of these covers. Now, there's gonna be two of them available.
And the only difference is the back here where it plugs in. So, this one here with these four prongs, that's gonna be used for those of you that store your ball in the hitch. And this one here is gonna be used whenever you decide not to keep the ball in the hitch. So whether you keep it inside the truck or something like that, this is the one you would use in. So with that said, let's go ahead and kinda just jump right in and check these out.
So, we'll look at this one first, the one that's designed to be used when the ball is in that stored position. So, we're done towing, flip that ball over, and the way this has gotta work, these prongs are gonna kinda catch inside of the turnover ball itself. So, I mean, super straight forward here. This is gonna push right into place. I will say it does have a good feel to it when you push down on it, it feels like it bites pretty good.
Whether or not it's going to stay like that over time and the weather and everything else, it's kinda hard to say, but just from how it goes in, I feel like it does a pretty good job of staying put and it'll definitely do a good job of keeping that weather and that moisture and everything else out of the turnover ball socket here. Something that some of our customers do kinda worry about is theft and definitely understandable. You definitely don't wanna have to replace a ball if you don't have to over someone running off with it. I feel like the cover would kinda help with that a little bit. You know, you don't have a shiny ball back here kinda drawing attention, kinda just helps blend in a little bit, make it a little bit cleaner back here in the bed as well.
But if you're someone that wants to avoid that situation completely and decide to choose to store your ball somewhere else, whether it be at home, in the garage or in the truck, whatever, what you can do is store it where you plan on it and opt for this cover that's designed to work when you don't have a ball in the socket. So, you can see it's got that square pattern there that fits right in there. And with this one, it fits nice and tight. So, I definitely don't see this one giving you any issues at all as far as getting loose or anything like that. And when you push it down, you can kinda feel it almost seal. So honestly, it should do a great job of, you know, keeping all that dirt and debris, moisture, things like that, especially for those of you that use your truck to work and you might load up a bunch of material back here, whether it be gravel or mulch, something like that. You know, you're not gonna have to worry about that junk falling down in there and making your hitch kind of a pain to use. So, an easy stuff that you can take to keep everything in good working order. So with any B&W product, these things are well-made. They're actually thick rubber, not flimsy, little thin caps that are gonna fall apart. So, should get some use out of them. And honestly, if it we're me, which one I would choose, it kinda just depend on my particular situation. If I was somebody that parked my truck outside all the time and the bed was exposed, so you didn't have a tonneau covers or anything like that, I would probably choose to keep my ball inside the trunk or in the house and use the cover for the empty socket. On the other hand, if I parked in the garage overnights and had a tonneau cover, things like that, I'd probably just keep my ball in the hitch and use the cover for that. That way, it's a little more secure and things like that. If you have had issues in the past with security as far as stuff inside of your bed goes, a tonneau cover really does help kinda cover that issue. And if that's something you think you would wanna look into, we offer many different types of types of tonneau covers right here at Etrailer. So, at the end of the day, I mean it is a trailer hitch cover, but it is going to achieve a few things, help keeping it more secure and protected and things like that. And honestly, I look at it as kind of the finishing touch for a really nice trailer hitch. And that'll finish up our look at of the line of B&W under bed gooseneck trailer hitch covers..

The cover looks great, Mark!
My previous turnover ball froze in place after a few years. My installer recommended leaving the ball out when I wasn't using it. This left a hole where chains or ropes could drop through and wrap around the driveshaft. Problem solved.
Flange needs to be about a half inch wider to cover the hole cut in the truck bed in addition to the hitch receiver.
Fit like it should and shipping was fast and painless. I recommend using it instead of turning ball over if you haul loose material like sand or dirt because it gets around the ball and is a pain to remove.

Thanks Bassell! That's useful insight I know will help someone shopping this in the future.
Was told by sales staff this fit even with the turnover ball in place but it does not. Have to remove the ball to use. As far a quality it is good though.
Perfect fit for my B&W gooseneck hitch on my 2020 Ford F350 long bed.
Good fit, but should be included with the hitch, since B&W recommends not turning the ball over on Ram trucks with the shock on the differential... Like my 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel...
Cover is a perfect fit when the B&W slider base is removed.
Fits great. Solid material and should take a beating in the bed of a truck!

A year later, the turn over ball over is still holding up.
Item is just as it's described, it's a thick rubber and fits in the empty B&W gooseneck ball hole like a snug glove, feels like it'll stay and not have any worry about it blowing up while traveling at interstate speeds, very well made.
Heavy duty cover and much better price than some other 'big online shopping' companies.
The shipping was very slow. I don't know this may be an isolated issue or completely the USPS fault but when I did receive the item it was fine fits as it should and is of high quality.
ETrailer is a top notch operation. Thank you for that !
Fit's and holds up well.
It fits, it's synthetic rubber. It will not come out by bump. Doesn't guarantee no water gets in but no sand falls out.
Just installed, with perfect fit. Will see what happens 6 mo from now.
Customer service was amazing. Shipping was fast and figment was spot on quality of product was better than expected would definitely buy again
